Right now, in the hot, steamy days of summer as I write this article, I long for sweatshirt weather when football games are played, cocoa is made, and the leaves begin to change colors. That is why you should find some free Fall crafts for kids – to commemorate a season that means so much to so many people!
Of course, fall is the time for Halloween and Thanksgiving, so many of the free Fall crafts for kids that you will find will center around these holidays. That means you will be making a lot of turkeys, pumpkins, scarecrows, and pilgrims!
But when it is you and your child making these crafts, we are willing to bet that you will find a new perspective on crafting when you start making these free Fall crafts for kids with your children! Here’s a wonderfully easy and fun craft to get you started!
Here is a great and easy free fall crafts for kids called a stained glass turkey. Take a regular paper plate and paint it brown with regular poster paint. While you are waiting for the plate to dry, cut out about six elongated ovals from brown construction paper to make feathers for your turkey.
About an inch from the edge of the feathers cut out the centers. Apply some glue (glue sticks work best here) to the edge of each feather. Lay a piece of tissue paper or colored cellophane on top of the glue and press to hold. Once the glue is dry, trim the feather around the edges.
Take each feather and glue to the paper plate. After that, you can either draw a face on your turkey with markers or cut out pieces of construction paper to make the face. Do not forget the legs and feet! Otherwise, how would your turkey walk? This craft looks especially great when you hang it in a window where the light can shine through the tissue paper or cellophane.
When looking for free fall crafts for kids, just look online for ones that you think will especially suit your family as well as the age group of child that you are catering to. Whether you are a teacher or a home schooling parent, you will want to teach your child about art, and having free fall crafts for kids available that they can make with you is a great way to do this.
