Your dermatologist will suggest a treatment solution dependent on the type of Melasma you have. Some medications for this condition may be topical while some may be more advanced like laser treatments. The most common remedy would be the chemical peel process. Chemical peels for some may not be as safe due to the strong medication that may cause the skin to feel irritated especially during peeling. Other treatment options not chemically induced would be the diamond peel or Microdermabrasion.

Melasma dark spots or skin pigmentation will manifest itself mostly on the parts of the cheek, nose and upper lip areas of the face.   Sunscreen lotions are highly recommended to be applied on the face to protect from harmful sun rays and prevent skin pigmentation.
