On its own arthritis is already a painful condition. However, many do not know that this is also a symptom of Lyme disease. Arthritis will often manifest in the third and last stage of Lyme disease. Most often this symptom manifest itself around the knee area. Have your doctor check you extensively if you develop arthritis and you do not have any of the common factors (i.e. age, broken bones, heredity). When reaching this point, Lyme disease is very severe and needs quick treatment.

Headaches are pretty common and often mean nothing more than you’re a little dehydrated or stressed out. Even if Lyme disease is not the culprit of your headaches, something else might be causing them to occur. The quicker you get them checked out the better chance you’ll have of getting them treated the right way and not have to be aggravated about having to put up with them anymore. Subtlety is a common factor the different symptoms of Lyme disease share. They can often be mistaken for symptoms of other disorders and diseases. If you start experiencing anything that you might think is associated with Lyme disease (or any other serious illness) get it checked out by your doctor. It is always better to be safe than sorry. The sooner you get it checked out, the easier it will be to treat the disease and get cured.
