Fair trade is a movement that aims to promote welfare of the poor farmers who work hard to produce premium quality products. A portion of the amount you buy for a fairtrade product goes directly to the farmers. This movement helps people know that the farmers are treated and paid equally. One event that showcases this movement is the fair trade fortnight. This event is held annually and most people go to these events to help promote and advertise the various fairtrade products.

There are many different kinds of fair trade products such as coffee, chocolate, food, and even pieces of clothing. The main purpose of this event is to increase the number of people who use and buy fairtrade products. Canada, New Zealand, Australia and the United Kingdom are just some of the countries who participate and celebrate this annual event. This occasion is filled with different kinds of activities that last for about two weeks or more. Fairtrade fortnight has so many activities that you will surely enjoy. Some of their events range from fashion shows, food and wine tastings, music concerts, food fares and so many more. The activities are a part of the different theme that changes each year. You not only get to help other people but you can have fun as well.

There is a fashion show held to show of the fairtrade materials that are used to make some of the best clothes in the market. In order for you to know how fairtrade products taste like, you can  participate in the food and wine tastings. There are also some exhibits and booths for companies who sell fairtrade products. Some of the events that can entertain guests and visitors would include carnivals, music concerts and so much more. You can surely enjoy and have a great time if you join all these different activities.
