Of course the wedding might still happen but it might well be remembered for the stress and tension as much as for the getting married part.
It’s better to have to much time than to little, so in planning its better to overestimate the time needed than to underestimate it. Plan for delays, they are likely to happen and if they don’t your still prepared, still in the right place and simply have more time to enjoy your day, your friends and family and to really take in the excitement of it all.
Think of how much more your likely to enjoy the day if your not stressed, if you know it’s all happening without you having to get in a flap about something. Imagine knowing beyond doubt that everything is in its place and one time!
If you are going to have a professional photographer you need to make some decisions about time allocation. Most photographers will talk to you about this. Lots of professional photographers charge you for a fixed time, but if you go over it they start charging by the hour. They will say that they will take photographs between x hour and y hour and that’s that. In that case you really need to ensure your prepared to be where the best photos can be taken at that time.
At Crane Photography we are with you for a considerable part of the day. So there is lots of time for fun, impromptu shots but we also recommend you put aside up to one and a half hours after the wedding and generally before the reception for location photography. This is where some of your most prised memories will be captured, so its worth the time. Bring along your bridesmaids and groomsmen (and some Champagne) so you can spend some quality, more laid back time with them, following the intensity of your wedding ceremony.
What ever you do, plan ahead of time in order to make the most of your special day.
