DIRECTV Offers More Than Cable

The problem is they give you a great combo with their bundles that include telepone, hi speed internet, and cable TV service. When customers try to disconnect one, you miss out on the discounts of the package.
But the cable television service just has to go, as the channel selection and quality is below par. There is so much talk today about hi def, there just wasn’t much choice with Charter cable TV. So I began doing a little research on who else was providing service in my area.
I am fortunate to be one of the people who have a couple of choices. Unlike some subscribers who can only pick from either the cable company or DIRECTV, I have another provider in my region. The phone company in my neighborhood has been enhancing their network. So now I have another player with U-verse from AT&T.
That doesn’t mean of course I won’t have the same issues. It would put me in the same boat as with the cable television company, as the telephone guys want me to package their TV setup with high speed and voice service. If the service works out well, I’ll be happy. Then again if the service is poor you’re in the same situation that we all hate, being stuck with cable TV that isn’t all that great. So I’m doing a side by side comparison, cable vs Direct TV so I make the right decision.
Some reviews I found on the internet are pretty good on telecom TV service. Because it is brand new, there is always a learning curve with a new technology like this, and some people write poor reviews. Those reviews are the quite amusing, because people decide to write a bad review on their bad experience and share it on the web. They badmouth the company like it is some huge conspiracy to make the customer unhappy, like the company does not want our money!
Another option I am looking into is of course satellite TV. Since we have seven TV watchers in the house, we have subscribed in the past to a high end cable television package. The satellite TV choices seem to be pretty comparable, as the Premier Direct TV package and the America’s Everything Pack from DISH Network are each about $100 a month. Sure that’s pretty pricey for pay TV, but when you make the comparison with treating your family to supper and a show, the entertainment value is comparable. Some of my family speak Spanish, so the Direct TV Mas package looks pretty good. The nice thing is that there are lots of Direct TV opinions to help me decide which direction to take.
