Many people out there do not think that spying equipment is a very good idea at all because it causes people a nuisance and interferes with their privacy. Putting cameras in people’s dustbins is not a very good idea and one that is not going to work and is going to anger people more than anything else which is not good. However It would seem that things like hidden spy cameras really do come in handy in many cases and help to catch the criminals that are raging havoc not only on the people of the country but on society too!

The whole idea of the CCTV camera actually came from Germany in the middle of WW2 when they needed to keep an eye on V-2 rocket launches. They are actually still used for this purpose to this day and this is so that if something does go wrong they can see exactly why and make sure it does not happen again. CCTV is even attached to some of the larger rockets as when it separates they can see what is going on.

It was in September of 1968 in New York where the first video CCTV camera was used in a street to actually try and stop crime and it became a worldwide success in no time at all after this. The UK is now one of the biggest users of this type of technology and they are used all over the place across the towns and cities.

Just Something Used For The Home?? It has been said that only 3% of criminals are caught with CCTV which means of course that perhaps those spy gadgets are best left in the home to help catch potential thieves.

So although mobile phone tracking is not something you are really allowed to use, there is no reason at all why you cannot look into CCTV.

When people think about a CCTV system the first and sometimes the only thing that they think about is the cameras that they see. The CCTV cameras, yes are important, however they are not the sole consideration in designing a successful CCTV system. The types of cameras, the location of the cameras, how the cameras are displayed and recorded and even the type of cable utilized to transmit the video signal from the cameras must be brought into consideration.

A successful CCTV camera installation is only successful if it meets the needs of the client. These needs must be determined prior to the determination of the equipment required, the location of the equipment and the end use of the equipment. These factors can only be made clear by a meeting with a representative of the company providing the CCTV camera installation and the client who is purchasing the equipment. An initial meeting that determines client needs together with a subsequent meeting in which the solution to those needs should be made.

Only the client knows precisely what their needs are. These needs must be expressed to the CCTV camera provider to enable the provider the information necessary to meet the needs. The client must define what areas must be covered, what areas they would like to cover and which areas should not be covered. The provider of the CCTV camera system may in the meetings make proposals for equipment that may or may not fit into the budget of the client. Should the equipment be over budget, then additional budgetary meetings by the client must be held.

The provider should not recommend one type of camera for every purpose. Cameras can be of varying resolutions, and either color or black and white. A camera that is strictly used for the surveillance of a particular area could well be a black and white camera with a fixed lens. Another location that required the identity of customers or clerks might necessitate the utilization of a color camera and a lens with an auto iris. When the provider of the CCTV camera system makes his presentation to the client the provider should provide a drawing of the property that the cameras are to be installed at with the cameras and their field of view marked on the drawing. This drawing provides the client visual knowledge of what areas are being covered and any changes can be made prior to installation of the system. The drawing can be provided to the client so that the client can present the drawings to their management for final approval.

Meetings between client and provider provide open lines of communication between both parties. Many budget overruns are caused by incomplete communication between client and provider or misunderstanding between the two parties. When the final contract is signed between client and provider, both parties must have a clear understanding of what is to be supplied, what areas are to be covered and what the final budget is. The provider in meeting the clients needs with solutions to the problems and will insure that the client is happy and satisfied with the solutions presented to them.
