* Redo the process of dipping and cooling until you have about 1 cm think of wax around the balloon.

* Pop the balloon and take it out from the center of the candle.

* Pour warm wax slowly inside the balloon shell and roll the shell around constantly until the interior is full.

* Place the wick in the center and pour in the final warm wax so it will surround the wick .

* Do not release the wick until you have allowed the wax to cool so that the wick is supported.

* Carefully roll the edge of the beeswax sheet around the cotton wick to seal it into place. The heat your hands generates will help in softening the wax to assist in seaming the wax candle.

* Make sure the candle wax is straight and tight as you follow through and roll it slowly.

* When you reach the end of your wax sheet, the heat from your fingers will be able to join the edge of your wax candle.

* Cut off the bottom part of the cotton wick, while cutting the top part of the wick to about a quarter of an inch in length.

Grab a balloon, some wax, paraffin or regular, and a wick. That’s it – you’re ready to go.

Use a double boiler to melt your wax to a temperature of 165 – 185 F degrees. Dip a water-filled balloon into the wax. Pull it out quickly, allowing the wax to cool and set. Repeat until a 1cm thick wax coating forms around your balloon. Burst the balloon and remove it from the candle’s center.

Begin pouring the warm wax, rotating around the shell until the inside is almost entirely covered. Insert the wick and pour in the remaining wax. Hold the wick until it is supported by wax that has colled and firmed. Your wax masterpiece is finished!

Candle Making Recipes - Beeswax Candle

Grab your scissors and a sheet of beeswax and some cotton wick. Fold and cut the beeswax sheet into 2 equal pieces. Choosing one sheet, place the wick on the long side of the beeswax with approximately 1 inch of the wick extending past both ends.

Use your fingertips to gently roll the beeswax around the wick. Make sure the wick is secure. The warmth of your hands will create a seamless candle. Continue tightly rolling the beeswax sheet. Make sure it is straight as you go.

ag. Trim the wick at both ends. The one that is to be your base, cut flush against the wax. The other end, which will be the top of your candle, snip the wick to 1/4 inch above the wax.
