Spanish language newspapers’ comic strips can be another helpful source of Spanish phrases and words.  This can be an excellent method to learn the nuances of the Spanish language and provide a window into everyday terms and slang phrases.

Another simple method, yet  involving a little more work, is to carry 3-by-5 cards with you and jot down new words whenever you encounter them in your everyday life.  At the end of the day, you can sit down and detemine which phrases and words are the most useful to add to your permanent vocabulary.  Then you can create flash cards using these terms and note the English translation on the flip side of the cards.
