The Dogtra 1900NCP has a fully adjustable collar strap which only weighs 7.9oz and suits any dog with a neck of up to 28″.If you have a small dog, for your dogs comfort you may need to trim off some of the adjustable strap.  Resizing is made without difficulty as the collar doesn’t contain any antennae or wiring.  The points where contact is made are produced from surgical stainless steel and the plastic is anti-microbial.  Hence the Dogtra electronic collar can be worn without any discomfort for long stretches of time.

You can expect the NiMH batteries to last three to five years on the fully rechargeable collar, as the quality is unsurpassed.  The charge is indicated by the LED light on the collar.  It requires putting on the charger if it is displaying red and blinking.  Amber is an indication of a mid charge and green signals it is has a full charge.  The Dogtra 1900NCP Star Series transmitter is very compact and has a weight of only 4.8 oz.    You shouldn’t have a problem fitting the NiMH battery which is rechargeable.  The transmitter shows how much life is left in the battery showing the three different colours with a LED light as with the collar.  There are three levels of stimulation i.e. the Nick, the Constant and the Page.   Nick emits a momentary burst of rapid stimulation.  The constant gives an electrical stimulation until the button is depressed, up to eight seconds.  Page emits a non-electronic stimulation and is perfect for re-enforcing training.  It is easy to alter the amount of stimulation given with the Dogtra 1900NCP transmitter as it has a rheostat dial of intensity between 0 – 127.  The rheostat stimulation feature keeps you in full control taking it from low to high without unexpected jumps.  The life of the battery and stimulation level are both displayed on the LCD screen of the transmitter.
