Stretch Limousine

A stretch limousine is just what it sounds like, a limousine that is ‘stretched’ to extend the amount of space that can be used. Traditional limousines tend to be larger luxury automobiles, but generally don’t include much extra space beyond perhaps a little area for extra accessories of comfort, whereas stretch limos have an exaggerated amount of additional space in the rear of the vehicles to accommodate partygoers and the various amenities that go along with a high cost night on the town.

Typically stretch limousines will not have bench or ‘transverse’ seating, but will have seating along the long sides of one or both sides of the interior back portion of a stretch limousine. This can be much better suited to party conversation and mingling than traditional transverse seating because passengers can then look at each other.

The color of a limousine used to have more critical meaning than it does nowadays. Where limousines in black for funerals will never go out of style in the west, they are used more and more to attend very non-funeral-like events. For example, white limousines were often used as personal limos to get away from the funeral association, but this is rarely the case today.

Similarly, white limousines were once used almost exclusively for weddings, but are now the most popular color for private limousines. White limousines are becoming more popular and are currently the hottest color for general purpose limousine-ing.

Of course since the first stretch limousines, we’ve seen many innovations, from the Hummer limousine to limos with hot tubs and Jacuzzis installed. For hardcore blowouts, limousine rental can expand to include party bus rental. These huge vehicles can be the entire party on wheels, with room for standing, dancing and just about any other activity, party buses are the way to go if you want to do more than just get there

Simple Tips to a Festive New Years Eve Party

It is that wonderful time of year, again, a time to say goodbye to the current year and welcome in the New Year. Many people will want to celebrate this event with a party.
This year, why not be the one who plans the party yourself? It isn’t that complicated of a task and you may even find yourself enjoying it. To get yourself started, try some of these easy and simple tips toward planning festive New Years Eve Party.

1.  Start with the invitations. You can do this formally or informally, if you plan on a simple and informal party, than simple invitations will do. You can actually invite people in person, call them up on the phone, email them or send a simple invitation by mail (allowing time for delivery). Be sure that the guests know where the party is going to be held, directions on how to get there and the time the festivities will begin. Plus, if you wish for the guests to help out by bringing a dish or a bottle of wine, be sure to include this fact in the invite.

2.  Once you have an idea about how many guests you may have, (remember some of the people may not make it and some may bring extra guests), it is time to plan a shopping list.

To begin this list, first think about the food you wish to serve. Do you plan on a full menu and serving a full meal? Do you plan on serving appetitizers, snacks and drinks?  Once you decide on what you need, browse through your cabinets and refrigerator.  Now make a list of what you need.

3.  Once you have the food and the drinks covered, think about how you are going to serve that food and drinks. Do you have enough plates, cups, silverware?  You may need to buy a few pieces. You could go with using paper plates and cups. But remember if you are serving greasy things or sauces, these can run and drip off of paper plates easily. You may want to reconsider this idea. If you are lucky enough to live near a dollar type store, you can find a lot of dishes in festive designs at really inexpensive prices.

4.  Decorations are something you might want to consider. No, you don’t have to go completely Martha Stewart. But you should at least have some horns and festive hats.  This is after all a New Years Eve celebration. You might also want to add some pretty candles and candle holders for a romantic appeal.

5.  Music is a must have. No matter what your taste, you must have music. If there is room, you should also fix an area for dancing.  New Years Eve is the perfect night for dancing.

6.   A clock must also be present. You want someone to watch for that big event at midnight. There must be a countdown. There must be confetti thrown and there must be some kissing as that clock strikes twelve. You may even want a small television set up in a corner somewhere. Have the set turned to the famous festivities in Times Squares as the famous balls begin to descend toward its final drop and the New Year arrives.

By following these simple tips you can host a great New Years Eve party.
