Get Good Couples Counseling To Help Your Marriage

Relationships and Dating

Did you like this article?  Why don’t you find out more here. I think you’ll like it alot!: Marriage Problems Help or Marriage Couple Counseling

When my husband and I were going through a nasty spell we went to a trusted source for couples counseling and direction. It seemed more important to me at that time than it did for my husband, which made our relationship even more strained.

Since then, I have learned that it is normal for a person to want to resist counseling. Not because they have anything to hide, but for some people, it is hard to open up sensitive subject matter to a stranger. This is a definite problem if it comes to a point where you need someone to counsel you and offer direction and help.

You might think to yourself, that this is ridiculous, I don’t need help with anything, we can work this out on our own. Well, it is my bet that if you are reading this article, then you need some outside help with your relationship.

There is no loss of points for anyone in this life who comes to the point where they realize their need for help. In fact, you should be rewarded for being honest with yourself and your mate that it might be time to seek counseling. This is a tough world these days and you are not alone in your struggles.

Since going out of my shell and getting the help we needed, I found all my friends from the church I go to and my relatives have gone through many of the same things. I also found that I didn’t have to hide my troubles because it might look bad for Jesus. Christians go through just as much garbage as any other person.

They might seem to have a handle on everything, but generally, if they are real, they are just walking by faith, believing that God will help them work everything out. If you are having difficulties with your relationship, get with a couple’s counselor and seek good sound advice.

My feeling is that a person who believes in the Bible will be a great help in your relationship since there is a greater understanding in them about God’s word on relationships staying in tact and not divorcing or dividing. If they are following the word of God, they will be inclined to work with you to the enth degree to bring beauty from the ashes.

Even if you don’t consider yourself Christian it is still beneficial for you to select Christian couples counseling. I would suggest that if you don’t want to go to a church, then question your reasons and if you cannot find a good one, then please go. It is my advice to go to any of the many qualified people in your area, just open the yellow pages. Do it now and get a qualified person to help you on the road to healing your relationship. What do you have to lose? or Stop Your Divorce

You Can Get Free Marriage Counseling

Relationships and Dating

This short article is an introduction to where you might be able to obtain free marriage counseling. Of course, if money is no object, you can and should be looking for the best marriage counselor you can find. Trust me when I say a divorce, especially one where minor children are involved, is worth saving if at all possible. But getting back to free marriage counseling: the cost of marriage counseling – especially for a couple that is fighting about money – can be prohibitive. But that doesn’t mean there’s no help available. There is help out there and this is where to look.

Religious organizations are the most frequently utilized source for free marriage counseling. Every year these groups deliver literally tens of thousands of hours of generally high quality marriage counseling, most of it on a pay what you can basis.

In 2008 Catholic Family Service delivered almost 25,000 hours of marriage counseling in North America alone. The organization has set up hundreds of local websites, so to find information on what is available to you in your area, simply go to any search engine and enter “Catholic Family Services” and the name of your city. The marriage counseling services are extensive and professional.

For Jewish couples, or couples in which one of the partners is Jewish, talk to your rabbi about marriage counseling through Jewish Family Services. These organizations are less centralized than there Catholic counterpart, but then again Catholicism is kind of anal about centralization, isn’t it? Jewish Family Services groups tend to offer counseling on a wide variety of topics.

ICNA stands for Islamic Circle of North America. Counseling is delivered to married couples within the context of the expectations of the Faith. Marriage counseling is delivered by the ICNA through Muslim Family Services. MSF is a division of Islamic Circle of North America Relief USA.

Other faiths also offer marriage and relationship counseling. This is not an exhaustive list by any means. Baptist congregations, Episcopalians, United and just about any other religious organization recognized by the US government offers pay what you can marriage counseling for members. The notable exception is the Church of Scientology, which charges set donations for its counseling services, frequently as high as 0 per hour.

For non-religious couples, governments also have a vested interest in stable families, or at least a vested interest in avoiding unstable families. However, social services varying wildly by jurisdiction. Obtaining free marriage counseling may be as close as the phone. Call your local department of family or social services and ask what help they might have for you. And good luck.
